CRAFTING SELFHOOD celebrates thirteen female AAPI artists who integrate heritage, identity, and, oftentimes, sly humor in ceramics, textiles and sculptural objects.

The exhibition is inspired by Phillip Lim’s reimagination of a cherished bracelet into a distinguishing hardware that embellishes a new family of leather bags known as the ID Collection. These artists celebrate the elasticity of craft and its connection to building community.
